PUMA hooks up once again with Mark Bodé and the legendary, cheeky characters of his father, Vaughn Bodé: one of the greatest underground comic artists in recent decades. PUMA launched the limited edition Bodé Cheech Wizard shoe back in 2007. And this year, we honor Bodé by reuniting Cheech with one of his most notable partners in debauchery: Da Lizard.

In the late '50s, a teenage Vaughn Bodé created a character that closely resembled a duck-billed dinosaur with a human body, which became the infamous Bodé Lizard. The first official appearance of Da Lizard was December 5th, 1963 in a strip called "The Masked Lizard", in an off-campus Syracuse University magazine where Vaughn attended college. Da Lizard gained fame as Cheech Wizard's intellectually stunted apprentice, and the rest was history.

PUMA gives the Bode Mid a lick of Da Lizard, integrating Bodè's lush shapes with clever stitching details. Da Lizard features embroidered eyes and body, with his body colored in the subtle, but distinctive, green to yellow fade. Plus the right tongue lining features his face, while the left features the Da Lizard logo. To finish the collection off nicely, there's a full on Lizard hoody with eyes and beak!
